Weekly Analysis (21st – 25th Aug)

Last week ECB finally showed concerns about euro gains which may affect the inflation and Eurozone economy. ECB President Mario Draghi will be speaking at Jackson Hole next week with other central bankers which will dominate investors’ attention. Terrorist attack in Spain underlying geopolitical risks being faced by the Europe that will affect  the euro as well.

Britain will release proposals to outline Brexit strategies with the European Union, ranging from regulation of goods to data protection, the UK’s Brexit department said on Sunday. This movement will definitely have negative impacts on Sterling if not going well.

Meanwhile commodity currencies ended higher in last week. And we expect Canadian dollars to extend gains against US dollar with target around 1.2510.
